In the paper industry, it can be used as a precipitating agent for rosin glue and wax emulsion, as a flocculant in water treatment, as an internal retention agent for foam fire extinguishers, as a raw material for making alum and aluminum white, as a decolorizer for petroleum, as a deodorant, and as a drug.
