Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose is anionic cellulose ether with macromolecular structure. It is odourless, tasteless, and non-toxic with white or faint yellow powder or particles. It can easily dissolve in water, and transfer into the colloidal solution; and it cannot dissolve in ethanol, ether, acetone, and other organic solvent.

Application

 Oil drilling Grade CMC

Oil drilling Grade Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose are used in oil drilling fluids and completion fluids. In drilling fluids, it works as viscosifier, flowing controller and filtration reducer, with strong suspending capability, high ability of carrying crumbs, and the function of cleaning drilling crumbs, stabilizing of well wall, preventing the mud from flowing away, protecting drilling bit and reducing the thickness of mud cake, but while in the completion fluids, it functions to control the fluid viscosity, suspend the heavy objects, bring the filler and avoid the fluids loss. It also can replace guar gum in fracturing fluids.
Washing Powder Grade CMC
with the character of emulsifying and gel protection, Washing Powder Grade Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) will produce the anion during washing and it makes the washed surface and the dirt granule be negatively charged. So, the dirt granule has the phase separation property in aqueous phase, and has the repellency with the washed material surface of solid phase. Place dirt then deposit on the washed material, and it can make the white textile keep the whiteness and colored textile bright.
Detergent Grade CMC

Food Grade CMC

Food Grade Sodium Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is widely used in food production such as liquid beverages, acidic milk drinks, fruit juice, solid instant drinks, roasting, ice cream, instant noodles, condiments and other foods. It has good thickening, stabilization, emulsification, suspension, dispersing and improving taste. Generally, the recommended dosage is 0.3-1.0%.
