Product Description

High Quality of Ferric Chloride Anhydrous 96.0% Min Fecl3 7705-08-0Ferric chloride is an orange to brown-black solid. It is slightly soluble in water. It is noncombustible. When wet it is corrosive to aluminum and most metals. Pick up and remove spilled solid before adding water. It is used to treat sewage, industrial waste, to purify water, as an etching agent for engraving circuit boards, and in the manufacture of other chemicals.
Ferric chloride is a covalent inorganic compound with the chemical formula FeCl3. It is black-brown crystal, also in flake shape, with a melting point of 306°C and a boiling point of 316°C [1]. It is easily soluble in water and has strong water absorption. It can absorb moisture in the air and deliquescence. When FeCl3 is precipitated from the aqueous solution, it is FeCl3·6H2O with six crystal waters, and ferric chloride hexahydrate is an orange crystal. Ferric chloride is a very important iron salt

It is mainly used for metal etching and sewage treatment. The etching includes etching of copper, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials. It has the advantages of good effect and low price for the treatment of raw water with low oil content, but it has the disadvantage of yellowing water color. It is also used for printing and dyeing cylinder engraving, electronic industry circuit board and fluorescent digital cylinder production, etc. It is used in the construction industry to prepare concrete to enhance its strength, corrosion resistance and water resistance. It can also be formulated with ferrous chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, hydrochloric acid, etc. to make concrete waterproofing agent, and used in the inorganic industry to make other iron salts and inks. In the dye industry, it is used as an oxidizing agent in the dyeing of Indicosol dyes. It is used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry. In the metallurgical industry, it is used as a chloride invading agent for extracting gold and silver. The organic industry is used as a catalyst, oxidant and chlorinating agent. The glass industry is used as a hot coloring agent for glassware. In the soap making industry, it is used as a coagulant for recovering glycerin from soap waste liquid.
Another important use of ferric chloride is metal etching, etching products such as: spectacle frames, clocks, electronic components, nameplates

ources/Uses *

Used as a medication, an analytical reagent, an etching agent (engraving, photography, and printed circuits), a catalyst, a mordant, a disinfectant, a pigment, and a feed additive; also used in sewage treatment and water purification; [HSDB] Found in nature as the mineral molysite; Used in photography, to make other iron salts, pigments, and inks, and for chlorinating silver and copper ores.
