A concentrated solution of phosphoric acid is irritating to the skin and eyes and can corrode the skin to cause inflammation. Phosphoric acid vapor can cause nasal mucosa atrophy, can cause systemic poisoning. The maximum allowable concentration of phosphoric acid in air is 1 mg/ma.
